Do you guys like to read? If so pick this book up Mindless Eating by Brian Wansik. I have read it a couple of times and I have learned a lot about not only eating but how we can trigger change based on changing our perceptions of things. In this book he explains things like:
• Does food with a brand name really taste better?
• Do you hate brussels sprouts because your mother did?
• Does the size of your plate determine how hungry you feel?
• How much would you eat if your soup bowl secretly refilled itself?
• What does your favorite comfort food really say about you?
• Why do you overeat so much at healthy restaurants?
Get it... it is really educational and funny!!
Guys, if you signed up for the dunk test (aka fat test) in the board, please make sure you actually sign up on line as well.
The price for a single Dunk is $40.00 and a 3 Dunk Package $99.00 (To be used by one person within 12 months). This way you could assess your base line with the first dunk… make the changes (nutritional, workouts, etc) that you need to make and then retest again and see your progress

Schedule and payments are done at the same time when appointments are booked through the vendor’s website at www.fitnesswavenorcal.com. Click on the link and then go to Calendar Look for the June 11, 2013 and find the time that is best for you schedule and pay for the service.
During the test you will TOTALLY submerge yourself in water for a few seconds, so bring a bathing suit and a towel-. For the most accurate test results it is recommended that your last meal be consumed 2 1/2 hours prior to your test.
After the test, you will receive a 4-page printout, which includes your body composition including body fat percentage, lean mass percentage, resting metabolic rate, and caloric expenditure tailored specifically for you.
This is not a CrossFit related post... it is about running. Some people skip workouts when these have a running component, that is something I will never understand.
